The Bihar state government has made this water flow in a way to warm the hands of the tourists.To touch Bhimaband hot water you have to go to Bhimaband guest house first. They built a swimming pool there. And built a small garden for small children. The swimming pool water is hot enough to take a bath. Even the water that enters the same pool is not allowed to be touched.
It is a scenic spot with a deep natural spring 50 km from the district headquarters.
This is according to Mahabharata; The dam built by Bhima on both sides when the Pandavas were in exile is called Bhimabandh. But this is incomplete, people say that Bhima left the build because it was evening.
Bhimbanda Wildlife Sanctuary is located in the southwest of Munger district. Kharagpur hills hills and Aviral Path forest covers an area of 681.99 km2. It is 56 km from the southern border of Munger, 20 km from Jamui Railway Station and 200 km from Patna Airport.
Bhima Bandan has hot springs Sita Kunda and Rishi Kunda all hot springs maintain same temperature throughout the year 52 °c to 65 °c is the best area for exploring geothermal energy potential.
Rishi Kunda, Sita Kunda, Ha-Hapancha Kumari, Rameshwar Kunda and Kharagpur Sarovar are several places of tourist interest near Abhiyaranya.
Around here, Khadagpur, Sultanganj, Bhagalpur, Munger, Jamui, Sikander, Sheikhpur, Lakki Sarai, Begusarai, Kiul, tens of thousands of people come with their families in winter, and if they are vegetarians and non-vegetarians, they cook and dine here.
Here the rising water crosses the village of Bhimaband. The same water is used by local people for their daily life.
There are two kundas in Bhimabandh, one near which is a guest house. At another little distance there is a structure where Bhima is built in Mahabharata.
It is under the supervision of Bihar Tourism Department and Bihar State Forest Department.
Government of India has deployed CRPF and its arm COBRA in Bhimaband for security and public awareness and most importantly to crack down on hooliganism, thuggery and Naxals since ancient times.
Visitors come here by road and by train. Jamui Railway Station is nearby and there is a system of coaches. You have to get down at Port Laxmipur from either Munger or Jamui and take a local jeep from there to Bhimbanda itself.
Bhimabandh is only a day trip, there is no arrangement for your stay here, you can find rented lodges in nearby Khadagpur, Munger or Jamu.
Bhimbanda is a very famous place in the state of Bihar. People start coming here from November and naxalism is active here. There is no harm from them to common people. CRPF Cobra, Bihar Police, Bihar State Forest Departments are handling it very carefully. You will get all kinds of help.
Coming towards Bhimaband, you will not forgive yourself if you leave without seeing the hot water pot;
